Description

Fisherbridge Cottage is a beautifully renovated traditional Dorset stone-fronted detached cottage situated in the coastal village of Preston in Weymouth. The cottage sleeps seven guests in four bedrooms, benefits from an enclosed walled garden and is in easy walking distance of three pub/restaurants, two convenience stores and the beach at Bowleaze Cove. Fisherbridge Cottage is ideally situated for exploring many Jurassic Coast beaches, walks and attractions.

Beautifully decorated with a nautical theme throughout, this is a bright and airy cottage that will make you feel immediately at home. On the ground floor is a spacious living room with plenty of comfortable seating, a smart TV and a wood burning stove for cosy nights in around the fire. The open plan kitchen/dining room has a dining table that seats up to eight guests and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need to cook up a feast, including an induction hob, two ovens, one of which is a combination microwave oven, full height fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a separate microwave. A Nespresso vertuo coffee machine is also provided. Also on the ground floor is a utility room with washing machine and separate tumble dryer and a cloakroom with WC. The integral garage is accessed from the utility room.

Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, one of which benefits from an en-suite shower room, a single bedroom and a family bathroom with bath and separate shower. Two of the bedrooms face the front and enjoy far reaching countryside views. Please note that the stairs leading to the first floor are traditional cottage stairs and quite steep with a low bulkhead. Each bedroom includes hanging storage for clothes and shelved storage or a chest of drawers. The single bedroom benefits also includes a dressing table and stool.

French doors in the kitchen and the living room provide access to the walled cottage garden which includes a lawn area and patio. There is outdoor dining furniture available to seat six and a Weber charcoal BBQ is available for guest use during the summer months.

Fisherbridge Cottage has off road parking for two cars. There are two parking spaces to the front of the property, one is opposite the property and the other is to the side of the garden wall and on a steep slope. The garage, which is suitable for smaller cars, is also available to guests.

The beach at Bowleaze Cove is an easy walk from the cottage, while the gorgeous safe and shallow sandy beach at Weymouth and the bustling harbour with its selection of restaurants and shops are a short drive.

Bed linens and towels, plus a welcome hamper of local Dorset produce and toiletries packs are provided for your stay at Fisherbridge Cottage. A highchair and cot are also available. Please advise at time of booking if you require these for your stay.
