Every dog-friendly cottage has been carefully chosen because we’d genuinely recommend staying there ourselves. Each welcomes up to two dogs, and many offer enclosed or partially enclosed gardens, nearby walking routes, and easy access to some of Dorset’s most beautiful coastline and countryside. Many of our dog-friendly cottages are on the beautiful Silverlake Estate, where miles of walking trails begin just outside your front door. It’s one of the things we love most about staying there. Rather than loading the car every morning, you can simply clip on the lead and head straight out to explore lakeside paths, woodland trails and nature reserves, then return to your cottage for a well-earned coffee or glass of wine.

There’s no need to bundle everyone back into the car or search for somewhere to walk. Just clip on the lead and set off along the lakes, through the woodland, and into the Dorset countryside.

What to Pack for Your Dog-Friendly Holiday
Packing for your dog doesn’t need to be complicated, and a little preparation helps everyone relax once you arrive. All of our dog-friendly cottages include a dog welcome pack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Each of our dog-friendly cottages welcomes up to two dogs. We’ve chosen properties with enough space for everyone to feel comfortable, including dogs. If you wish to bring more than two dogs, please do get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
House rules vary slightly between cottages, so we recommend checking the individual property details. In most cases, we simply ask that dogs are kept off beds and soft furnishings unless throws are used, and that cottages are left as you’d hope to find them. Some of our properties include a stair gate.
