Set on lake's edge in the exclusive Silverlake Estate in Dorset, near the Jurassic Coast and beaches, Knighton is the perfect holiday home for up to 12 guests to relax and unwind. Enjoy views over the water from the balcony, relax in the hot tub or on the enclosed deck, or head out onto the water from the adjacent jetty. Inside, there's spacious open-plan living including a cosy log burner. Guests enjoy access to the on site outdoor heated pool, spa, sauna, tennis court, lakes and nature trails. Perfect for large family groups or gatherings of friends.

Knighton, a beautifully appointed, professionally interior-designed, lakeside luxury holiday home on the award-winning Silverlake Estate in Dorset. Knighton is perfect for large families, multi-generational groups and gatherings of friends. Sleeping up to 12 guests (maximum 10 adults and 2 children) in five bedrooms, this contemporary three-storey home offers comfort, tranquillity, and stunning views over the lake and surrounding nature reserve.

On the ground floor are are three bedrooms – a master bedroom with super-king bed and en-suite shower room, a king size bedroom with en-suite shower room and a twin bedroom. A family bathroom with shower over bath, and a fully equipped utility room with washer, dryer and tea/coffee making facilities for the ground floor bedrooms, are also situated on the ground floor.

The first floor is the main living accommodation which features a contemporary open plan kitchen/dining/living room with log burner, Sky Glass TV and Sonos sound system and air conditioning. The kitchen includes three integral ovens a large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine – ideal for those who are looking to cook up a feast! Floor to ceiling windows offer wonderful views over the lake and sliding doors provide access to the balcony. A cloakroom is also available on this floor.

The second floor boasts a super-king bedroom with zip and link beds that can be separated into twins if required. Please advise at time of booking if you would prefer the beds to be prepared as separate singles. Also on this floor is a bunk room that sleeps four in two sets of bunk beds, a shower room and a separate snug/TV room – ideal for keeping the children safely entertained while adults catch up over drinks and nibbles! The snug also features air conditioning.

Outside there is a large enclosed decked area with dining furniture, relaxed seating and a gas BBQ available for guests to use. From this decked area a spiral staircase leads to the first floor balcony and main living areas. Knighton has parking in front of the property for up to 6 cars and there is free EV charging for guests (please note that charging cables are not provided).

A cot and highchair are available for guest use. Please advise at time of booking if you require these made available. Please note that a cot mattress is not supplied, nor any bedding.

Bie hire (delivered to site and collected after the hire period), private chef, E-bike tours and yacht trips from Weymouth Harbour can be arranged by Curated Cottages to make your holiday even more memorable. We can also arrange for logs and kindling to be supplied for your stay so that you can enjoy a cosy log fire on cooler evenings. Please get in touch if you have any specific requirements you would like us to try to arrange.

Guests can enjoy access to an outdoor heated pool, sauna and spa (treatments are chargeable). Other facilities include restaurant, lake beach with pontoon, children’s play areas, cycle trails, and the activity hub for bike hire and watersports equipment hire (2 hour chargeable bookable hire sessions), nature trails, table tennis tables, tennis court, multi-use activity court, fishing lakes and the zip wire. From 2027 there will be a charge for use of the pool and spa facilities. A new state-of-the-art on-site gym is planned to open in 2027. Bike hire and watersports equipment hire is also available separately through Curated Cottages for the duration of your stay. Please be aware that the availability of on-site facilities cannot be guaranteed for your stay as these are operated separately by the Silverlake Estate.

Whether you want to unwind by the water or enjoy the estate's excellent facilities, Knighton is the perfect Dorset escape. You can venture off site and visit the historic city of Dorchester famous for Thomas Hardy's birthplace, hike the South West coast path, visit Portland Bill lighthouse or enjoy hunting for fossils in some of the Jurassic Coast coves. There are plenty of beaches within a few miles of Knighton including the safe and shallow Weymouth beach, the natural pebble beach at Ringstead Bay, the infamous and highly photographed Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, or the dramatic Chesil beach near Portland.
