Greenhill Beach

Weymouth
Greenhill Beach

Greenhill Beach lies just beyond Weymouth’s main sands. It’s where people go when they want the sea without it feeling too busy. It’s a stretch of sand and fine shingle that feels open and calm.

Just behind the beach, Greenhill Gardens add to the charm. They’re immaculately kept. Not by chance, but thanks to years of care from the local community.

Why We Love It Here

Greenhill is where we head for an easy, relaxing beach day. It’s close enough to Weymouth to feel connected, yet far enough away to escape the bustle of the main beach. We love it for swimming and we return to it throughout the year, whether for a summer dip or a crisp winter walk along the promenade. In warmer months, the gardens sometimes host small community events and gatherings, which only adds to the sense that this is a beach cared for by the people who live here. It’s quiet and  charming, and that’s exactly why lots of locals love it.
