Description

Dawn Lighthouse is a pretty coastal-themed Dorset holiday home, near the Jurassic Coast. It sleeps 10 guests in five bedrooms and includes a hot tub and an outdoor shower. This property has been designed and built to the latest standards with wheelchair users in mind. It includes a bedroom and an accessible bathroom on the ground floor. Dawn Lighthouse is conveniently situated on the private Silverlake Estate nature reserve and includes the use of an on-site outdoor heated pool, gym and spa.

This delightful cottage, with five beach themed bedrooms – each with a unique name - sleeps up to 8 adults and 2 children (we recommend only children use top bunks). On the ground floor is a king bedroom with a 90cm wide doorway for wheelchair access and a separate accessible wet room that includes a raised height WC with grab rails and a walk-in shower with shower chair and rails. On the first floor are two super-king bedrooms with built in wardrobes, luxury en-suite shower rooms and direct access to a large balcony where guests can enjoy the morning sun. There are a further two bunk bedrooms; both with fitted wardrobes, and one of which has a pull-out trundle bed for occasional use by a child. Completing the first floor is a family bathroom with a bath.

The ground floor has a cosy feel to it with a pastel blue kitchen that has everything you need to cook up a feast, a dining table that seats up to 8 (an additional table and chairs are available for larger gatherings) and a comfortable living area, with lounge seating for up to 8 guests. The living area benefits from a smart TV and access to the rear deck through expansive sliding patio doors.

Outside there is a large deck with dining for up to 12 guests and lounge furniture, plus a screened hot tub and outdoor shower. The deck leads to a further grassed area which is partially fenced. A charcoal BBQ is also available to guests during the spring and summer months. The property is easily accessible by wheelchair via a gently sloped path to the front door and via the driveway to the rear entrance.

There is parking for two cars at the side of the house. EV charging is free for guests to use for overnight charging of vehicles.

An accessibility statement is available detailing all the door widths on the ground floor and the accessible features available. Please contact Curated Cottages for a copy.
