Serendipity

Situated on the waterfront, with uninterrupted views over the lake and nature reserve beyond, Serendipity is an incredibly light and airy Dorset holiday home where you relax the moment you step inside. Serendipity sleeps 8 guests in four bedrooms, two of which have en-suite shower rooms, and guests can enjoy complimentary use of the on-site outdoor heated swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. A private jetty allows access directly into the lake for swimming or water sports. Serendipity is situated within the exclusive Silverlake nature reserve estate between Weymouth and Dorchester, in easy reach of the Jurassic Coast and its beaches and attractions. In addition to the outdoor heated pool, spa and gym, there are nature trails, cycle trails, a multi-purpose activity court, tennis and table tennis on site. There is also a sand beach at Beaumont Lake with freshwater swimming and a pontoon on the lake. Plenty to keep family and friends occupied whatever the season.

Entering into Serendipity you are immediately met with welcoming light from the huge double height kitchen window and the expansive patio doors by the living area. The kitchen with its island area and four bar stools has all mod cons including a Nespresso coffee machine and Siemens appliances including a full height fridge, separate freezer dishwasher, oven, combi oven and microwave. The dining area beyond the kitchen seats up to 8 guests, and together with the living area offers stunning views over the deck and garden to the lake beyond. The living area has luxury lounge seating suitable for 8 guests, a smart TV and a log burner to enjoy on cooler evenings.
Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom, a family shower room and a utility room with separate washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs is a large master bedroom with a king size bed, built in wardrobes, a cosy seating area and an ensuite shower room. The master bedroom benefits from private access to a large balcony overlooking the water; the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or to watch the beautiful sunsets in the evening. A second king size bedroom with ensuite shower room and doors that open to a Juliette balcony, together with a twin bedroom and a family bathroom complete the first floor.

Outside there is a spacious deck accessed from the main living area with outdoor dining furniture and lounge seating. A combined gas/charcoal BBQ is provided for guest use. A sloped grassed garden at the rear leads to a private jetty for access into the lake and to the front is private parking for up to 2 cars.
Bikes can be hired from the Silverlake activity hub for 2 hours at a time, or through Curated Cottages for your entire stay. Kayaks and paddleboards are also available to hire on site.

Although there is plenty to keep you occupied at Silverlake, the area around is worth exploring. Consider visiting the historic city of Dorchester famous for Thomas Hardy's birthplace, hiking the South West coast path, visiting Portland Bill lighthouse or enjoying hunting for fossils in some of the Jurassic Coast coves. There are many beaches within a few miles of Serendipity including the safe and shallow Weymouth beach, the natural pebble beach at Ringstead Bay, the dramatic scenery of Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove, or the expansive Chesil beach near Portland.
