Explore Family Days Out and Places to Visit Around Wareham
Wareham doesn’t have many main attractions within the town itself, but it’s ideally situated for some of Dorset’s best days out. One of our favourites has always been The Blue Pool, just a few minutes outside Wareham. Our children enjoyed exploring the woodland trails, racing across the playground, and finishing with a treat from the tearoom. The lake changes colour with the sunlight; it is well worth a visit. Even more so now, since they’ve added a rope bridge that crosses the sparkling blue pool.
Nearby, you also have Monkey World, The Tank Museum at Bovington, and Corfe Castle, all within easy reach and offering a mix of wildlife, history, and big-day-out adventures for families and couples.
